Daily Summary 20 Jun 16

Europe closed up on Friday but Dow ended -58 at 17675. Dow's is rather mixed at the moment though short term trend is looking down. European bourses opened strong up.

Asian bourses were mostly up. Nikkei +366, ShanghaiC +3, Hangseng +340. STI closed +38 at 2801. Volume was 1.1b shares. Gainers were 256 to 141 losers.

Short term trend of STI is turning up.

Top volumes were Ezra +0.2, Noble -1.5, Annica unchanged, HPHTrust unchanged, AusGroup +0.3, RexIntl +0.3, SingTel +6, GoldenAgri +2, Vard +0.8, Spackman +0.3.

STI opened up and continued to rise through the session given the fear of Brexit subsiding. It gained more grounds in late afternoon with Europe opened firmly up. Blue chips were mostly up with banks leading the charge. The general market was firmer.

Europe and Dow's future at the moment are mostly up.

Europe were down last night but Dow closed +93 at 17733. Trend of Dow is still down but first day of gain could change the direction. Dow's future is now -12. European bourses opened firmly up.

Asian bourses closed mostly up. Nikkei +166, ShanghaiC +12, Hangseng +132. STI closed +12 at 2763. Volume was 1.3b shares. Gainers were 172 to 220 losers.

Trend of STI is down.

Top volumes were Sitra +0.1, Addvalue -0.1, Annica unchanged, LifeBrandz unchanged, Ezra +0.2, GoldenAgri -0.5, WE -0.1, Cedar unchanged, HPHTrust +1.5, Genting unchanged.

STI opened up but lost some of its gains after an hour. It still maintained positive and recovered slightly on shortcovering in the last hour to close + 12. Blue chips were mostly up but the general market was a bit weaker.

European bourses are still up at this moment while Dow's future is -10.

European bourese were mostly up last night but Dow closed -35 at 17640. Trend of Dow is down. Dow's future at the moment is -64. European bourses opened down.

Asian bourses were mostly down. Nikkei -485, ShanghaiC -14, Hangseng -429. STI closed -22 at 2752. Volume was 1.2b shares. Gainers were 141 to 294 losers.

Trend of STI is down.

Top volumes were Ezra -0.4, SinoCloud unchanged, GoldenAgri -1.5, AddvalueTech unchanged, AnchorResources +1.3, SingTel -3, Noble -0.5, ThaiBev +1, HPHTrust -1, AusGroup -0.8.

STI opened marginally down but started to slip down quickly. It stayed down for the rest of the session hovering at around -20 level, on further fear of Brexit referendum on 23 June. Blue chips were mostly down. The general market was down with gainer loser at 1:3 ratio.

Europe and Dow continued to fall but lesser last night. Dow closed -58 at 17675. Dow's trend is down. Dow's future is now +48. European bourses opened up.

Asian bourses were mostly up. Nikkei +61, ShanghaiC +45, Hangseng +80. STI closed +6 at 2774. Volume was 1.6b shares. Gainers were 174 to 205 losers.

Trend of STI is still looking down.

Top volumes were Annica unchanged, Ezra -0.4, Noble -0.5, SinoCloud unchanged, Memstar +0.1, Addvalue -0.2, LionGold unchanged, SingTel unchanged, KLW -0.1, ThaiBev +0.5.

STI opened flat and moved to slightly positive till after lunch. It then turned marginally negative unltil the last half an hour to end up near day high with +6 pts. There is a slight technical rebound following Europe's positive opening. Blue chips were slightly firmer. The general market was slightly weaker.

Europe and Dow had another day of falls. Dow closed -133 at 17732. Trend of Dow is going down. Dow's future at the moment is -43. European bourses opened down.

Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei -180, ShanghaiC +10, Hangseng -125. STI closed -15 at 2771. Volume was 1.4b shares. Gainers were 154 to 222 losers.

Trend of STI is turning down.

STI opened down but turned up briefly to positive and fell again by late morning. It continued to drift down through the rest of the session but remained fairly steady without panicking. Blue chips were about mixed. The general market was also weaker.

European opened weak at the moment. Dow's future is fairly now and slightly down.

Europe and Dow were sharply down on Friday due to the fear of Brexit. Trend of Dow is turning down. Dow's future is off today. European bourses opened down again.

Asian bourses were mostly sharply down. Nikkei -582, ShanghaiC -95, Hangseng -530. STI closed -38 at 2785. Volume was 2.1b shares. Gainers were 118 to 325 losers.

Trend of STI is down.

Top volumes were Ezra -0.7, LionGold -0.1, Magnus unchanged, Annica unchanged, Noble -1, OLS unchanged, SingTel -4, Memstar unchanged, ThaiBev -1.5, KepInfraTr -0.5.

STI opened down and stayed down the whole session closing off its day low. Blue chips were mostly in the re led by banks. The general market was weak with gainer loser at 1:3. The external factors esp exit of Britain from EU is becoming the main worry for good or wrong reason.

European bourses opened firmly down while there is no market at New York tonight.

Trend of STI is starting to turn down with a second day of falls.

STI opened up for one hour and started to fall through out the session to close negative and at near day low. Blue chips were mostly in the red and the general market was weaker probably due to profit taking and weekend.
