European bourses and Dow were slightly up last night.  Trend of Dow is

showing sign of turning up.  Dow's future is now +41.  European bourses

opened up.

Asian bourses closed mixed.  Nikkei +140, ShanghaiC -3, Hangseng -124.  STI

closed +16 at 3281.  Volume was 2.2b shares. Gainers were 192 to 169

losers.

Trend of STI making a first break up.

Top volumes were YZJ -13, Blumont +0.1, Sincap -0.1, Rowsley-0.1, MoyaAsia

+0.7, OLS unchanged, Jiutian unchanged, QTVascular -0.1, SingTel -1,

GoldenAgri unchanged.

STI opened up and stayed up for the whole session.  Blue chips were mostly

green. The general market was firmer. STI closed nearer on the low side but

still gained 16 points.

European bourses were down last night.  Dow closed +57 at 21865.  Trend of

Dow is looking a bit flat at this point. Dow's future is now +38.  European

bourses opened up.

STI closed +147 at 3267.  Volume was 1.9b shares.  Gainers were 214 to 179

Trend of Dow is slightly down.  Dow's future is now -140.  European bourses

opened firmly down likely spooked by the missile test of North Korea over

Japan.
