Europe closed flat and mixed on Friday. Dow closed +10 at 18517. Trend of Dow is up. Dow's future at the moment is +44. European bourses opened marginally up.
Asian bourses were mostly higher. Nikkei +112, ShanghaiC -10, Hangseng +144. STI closed flat at 2926. Volume was 1.9b shares. Gainers were 202 to 226 losers.
Trend of STI is still up.
Top volumes were Annica unchange, Noble +0.3, Ezra -0.6, HLH unchanged, CedarStrategic unchanged, AllianceMineral -0.5, EzionR -0.8, SingTel -4, GoldenAgri +0.5, Spackman -0.7.
STI opened up but slipped to flat by lunch time. It recovered after lunch only to slip back in the last half hour of trading to flat. Blue chips were generally weaker and so was the general market.
Europe and Dow's future at the moment are marginally positive.
