Daily summary 9 Dec 13
Dow and Europe were up on Fri. Dow closed +199 at 16020. Dow's trend is still down but the fall is broken with the 200 pts gain. Dow's future is now +20. Europe opened mixed.
Asian bourses were mostly up. Nikkei +350, ShanghaiC +1, Hangseng +68. STI closed -0.5 at 3114. Volume was 2.6b shares. Gainers were 209 to 197 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were CharismaEner +0.3, Vallianz +0.3, Hankore +0.5, Blumont +3.7, GentingHK -1.5, Innopac +0.3, Dragon +0.1, Ntegrator unchanged, Ipco +0.1, LionGold +2.9.
Market opened up but started to fall in late morning and closed near day low. Blue chips were mixed. Penny stocks were firmer. Blumont recovered 3.7c. Volume was also higher, crossing the 2.5b mark.
Europe and Dow are looking steady at the moment.
