Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei +20, ShanghaiC -20, Hangseng -89. STI closed -10 at 2907. Volume was 1.1b shares. Gainers were 160 to 260 losers.
Trend of STI is down.

STI opened marginally up but slipped to slightly negative for the whole session. It fell a bit more during the closing half hour to close at day low at -10. Blue chips were slightly weaker. The general market was also weaker.
