Asian bourses were mostly down. Nikkei -308, ShanghaiC +8, Hangseng -390. STI closed -32 at 2825. Volume was 1.6b shares. Gainers were 185 to 214 losers.

Top volumes were Noble -0.1, Ezra +0.2, Ezion +4.5, SingTel +1, CNMC +1, Vallianz +0.1, ThaiBev unchanged, Katrina +0.5, KLW +0.1, ChinaMed unchanged.
STI opened down and stayed down for the whole session. It closed off its day low of 2811. Blue chips were weaker with banks still under selling pressure. The general market also saw more losers than gainers.
European bourses and Dow's future at this moment are marginally down.
