Asian bourses were down. Nikkei -229, ShanghaiC -4, Hangseng -41. STI closed-12 at 1790. Volume was 1.9b shares. Gainers were 181 to 235 losers.

Top volumes were Noble -0.6, Genting +9, Equation unchanged, GlobalLogistic +1, TTIntl +0.6, IPCO unchanged, HLH +0.1, SunMoon -0.5, Vard +1.2, KrisEnergy +0.2.
STI opened marginally down and slipped down a bit more and stayed negative for the whole session. Blue chips were mostly down. The general market was down.
