Europe and Dow were slightly down last night. Dow closed -13 at 17217. Uptrend of Dow is levelling and starting to turn down. Dow's future is +19 at the moment. European bourses opened slightly down.
Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei +347, ShanghaiC -119, Hangseng -88. STI closed +7 at 3026. Volume was 2.5b shares. Gainers were 236 to 220 losers.
Up trend of STI is weakening.
Top volumes were Stratech +0.3, GreatGroup +0.2, ChinaFishery +0.5, ChinaSky +1, HuAnCable +0.2, PacificAndes +0.1, Magnus -0.1, Healthway +0.2, Jaya +0.2, ChineseGlobal -0.1.
STI opened up and hit a high of 3039 in the first half hour of trading before retreating lower. It stayed positive for the rest of the morning and started to drift down further in mid afternoon trading. It closed off its day low but still gained 7 pts. Blue chips were firmer but the general market was mixed.
Europe is still relatively flat and mixed. Dow's future is firming up a bit more.
