European bourses closed a bit up on Friday after falling in early trading due to the bombings in Brussel. Dow had its first fall but the trend is still up. Dow's future is now -41. European bourses opened up.
Asian bourses closed mixed and relatively flat. Nikkei -48, ShanghaiC +11, Hangseng -52. STI flat at 2881. Volume was 1.5b shares. Gainers were 241 to 205 losers.
Trend of STI is weakening.
Top volumes were OKH +1.9, Noble +2, RexIntl +1.4, Ezra +0.3, GlobalLogistic+10, GoldenAgri -0.5, Spackman +0.3, Sysma unchanged, YZJ +2, ThaiBev unchanged.
STI opened slightly up but slipped down to stay relatively flat for the best part of the day. In mid afternoon it slipped down to negative territory but stayed just barely down to close flat. Blue chips were mixed but the general market was slightly firmer.
European bourses are still up at this moment but Dow's future is slightly down.
