European bourses and Dow were firmly up last night. Dow closed +241 at
24505. Trend of Dow has broken up. Dow's future at this moment is -233,
probably a reaction to Trump's called for more tariffs against China,
confirming a trade war. European bourses opened down.
Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei -64, ShanghaiC -6. Hangseng +326. STI
closed +37 at 3443. Volume was 2.1b shares. Gainers were 182 to 197
losers.
Trend of STI is breaking up.
Top volumes were KrisEnergy +1.1, Genting +6, Blumont unchanged, SinoCloud
unchanged, SingTel +4, HPHTrust +2, InnoPac unchanged, Cosco -1, Rowsley
-0.1, Ascendas +4.
STI opened slightly down but turned positive after half an hour of trading.
It then moved up through the day to close near day high at +37. Blue chips
were mostly up. The general market was slightly weaker.
