Daily Summary 4 Apr 19

European bourses and Dow were slightly up last night.  Dow was +39 at

26218. Trend of Dow is up.  European bourses opened down.

Asian bourses closed rather flat and mixed.  Nikkei +12, ShanghaiC +30,

Hangseng -29.  STI closed +1 at 3312.  Volume was 1.4b shares.  Gainers

were 185 to 158 losers.

Trend of STI is up.

Top volumes were Genting -10, GoldenAgri +2, SweeHong unchanged,

ChinaRealEstate unchanged, YZJ +3, YVentures +2.6, CapitaComTr +4,

ISRCapital unchanged, RexIntl -0.4, KepInfraTr unchanged.

STI opened flat but moved up quickly to hit day high at 3323 within 15

minutes. It then hovered at this level for most part of the morning before

slipping down to close for lunch near day low at 3303. After lunch it moved

back up to hover a few ups up from opening and closing slightly lower at +4

at 3315.

Blue chips saw slightly more gainers than losers.  The general market was

slightly firmer.
