Europe and Dow were sharply down last night. Dow -297 closing at 16154. The trend reversal failed and Dow is looking like swinging back down. Dow's future at this moment is +45. European bourses opened slightly down.
Asian bourses fell with some sharply. Nikkei -559, ShanghaiC -10, Hangseng -455. STI closed -29 at 2550. Volume was 827m shares. Gainers were 139 to 255 losers.
STI's attempt to turn up is weakening.
Top volumes were GlobalLogistic -4.5, Ezra -0.1, Annica unchanged, Noble +0.5, Genting -1.5, SingTel -1, HPHTrust -0.5, HongkongLand -40, YZJ -1, Capitaland -3.
STI opened down and slipped further down till the last hour when some short covering pulled back some losses. It was down 51 pts at its day low. The general market was down.
Europe is down at the moment while Dow's future is now slightly up.
