Europe and Dow were slightly down last night. Dow closed -34 at 17511. Trend of Dow is making a weak effort to move up. Dow's future at the moment is -77. European bourses opened firmly down.
Asian bourses were mostly down. Nikkei -332, Shanghaic +46, Hangseng -307. STI closed -5 at 3044. Volume was 1.7b shares. Gainers were 152 to 349 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were Noble +1, Stratech +0.6, Ezra +0.1, IHC unchanged, Ezion -2, WE -0.1, SHS +2.5, GoldenAgri unchanged, YZJShipbldg -6.5.
STI opened slightly up and stayed up for a couple of hours before drifting to trade flat for most part of the day. it closed neat day low down 5 pts. Blue chips were firmer in early morning but ended with more losers than gainers. The general market saw loser gainer ratio at 2:1.
European bourses and Dow's future are negative at the moment.
