Europe and Dow suffered another sharp fall last night. Dow -588 closing at 15871. Trend of Dow is down. Dow's future is now +468. Europe bourses opened sharply up.
Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei -734, ShanghaiC -245, Hangseng +153. STI closed +53 at 2896. Volume was 2.25b shares. Gainers were 351 to 162 losers.
Down trend of STI is flattening.
Top volumes were Noble +5.5, Ezra +0.8, Stratech +0.3, Ezion +9.5, Genting +2, Vallianz +0.5, Debao +0.4, SingTel +12, IHC unchanged, HPHTrust +0.5.
STI opened down but recovered quickly and was positive after half an hour of trading. It closed slightly off the day high with a gain of 43 pts. Blue chips were mostly green. The general market was also firmer.
Europe opened sharply up. Dow's future is also up. Tonight is looking good for a rebound.
