Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei -195, ShanghaiC -15, Hangseng +225. STI closed +7 at 3181. Volume was 2.3b shares. Gainers were 217 to 216 losers.

STI opened flat and traded flat for the most part of the day. It moved up in mid afternoon when European bourses opened up to close +7. Blue chips were mostly up. The general market was mixed.
