European bourses were slightly down last night. Dow closed +184 at 20637. The 3 days of weaknesses in Dow has seen a first day of firm gains. Dow's future at this moment is -9. European bourses opened down.
Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei +20, ShanghaiC -26, Hangseng -337. STI closed -1 at 3138. Volume was 2.6b shares. Gainers were 206 to 233 losers.
Trend of STI is still looking down.
Top volumes were Noble -1.1, Addvalue +0.1, BlackGold +0., HLH unchanged, SingTel -4, Chasen +0.2, IEV +0.4, BengKuang +1.7, LionGold unchanged, Spackman -0.7.
STI opened up 22 pts but started to weaken after half an hour. It stayed marginally up for the main part of the session thereafter but slipped to marginally negative in the last hour of trading. It closed near day low at -1. Blue chips closed mixed. The general market was also mixed.
European bourses and Dow's future are slightly down at this moment.
