Daily Summary 17 May 18

European bourses and Dow were slightly up last. Dow closed +63 at 24679.

Trend of Dow is up.  European bourses opened up.

Asian bourses closed mixed.  Nikkei +121, ShanghaiC -15, Hangseng -168.

STI closed flat at 3533. Volume was 1.4b shares.  Gainers were 161 to 204

losers.

Trend of STI is sideways.

Top volumes were Magnus unchanged, Ezion -0.3, HPHTrust, +0.5, Genting +1,

MDR -0.1, GoldenAgri +0.5, YZJ -2, Falcon unchanged, SingTel +2, ThaiBev

unchanged.

STI opened up and maintained up for most of the session. It slipped down

slightly in the last half hour to negative but closed flat.

Blue chips were slightly firmer.  The  general market was weaker.

European bourses are up at this moment but Dow's future is slightly down.
