Daily Summary 3 May 18

European bourses closed up last night.  Dow closed -174 at 23925.  Dow's

trend is down.  Dow's future at this moment is +51.  European bourses

opened down.

Asian bourses closed mixed.  Nikkei -35, ShanghaiC +20, Hangseng -411.  STI

closed -40 at 3576.  Volume was 2.2b shares.  Gainers were 140 to 253

losers.

Trend of STI is weakening.

Top volumes were Ezion +1.1, ThomsonMed +0.2, Magnus unchanged, CDLHTrust

-4, KrisEnergy unchanged, AusGroup unchanged, Oceanus unchanged, YZJ

unchanged, SingTel +2 Genting unchanged.

STI opened down and continued to slide down to close at day low for lunch.

After lunch it stayed at the same level for most part of the afternoon. It

then recovered some ground in the last hour to close off its day low at

-40.

Blue chips were slightly weaker. The general market was down.

European bourses are still down at this moment while Dow's future is up.
