Asian bourses mostly sharply down. Nikkei -340, ShanghaiC -79, Hangseng
-418. STI closed -73 at 3445. Volume was 1.9b shares. Gainers were 116
to 315 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were Magnus unchanged, HPHTrust -2.5, YZJ -2.5, GoldenAgri
+0.5, AllianceMineral -0.5, Genting -5, SingTel -5, Ezion -0.5, Asiatic
-0.1, QTVascular -0.2.
STI opened down and closed lower for lunch. After lunch it remained at the
morning level for the rest of the session, closing at -73.
Blue chips were mostly in the red. The general market was down.
