European closed mixed last night. Dow was closed. European bourses opened
up.
Asian bourses closed mostly down. Nikkei -164, ShanghaiC -25, Hangseng
-60. STI closed +12 at 3257. Volume was 1.8b shares. Gainers were 165 to
180 losers.
Trend of STI is starting to show signs of turning up.
Top volumes were Metech -0.1, Genting unchanged, ThaiBev +2, Ezion
unchanged, SingTel +9, YZJ -1, Vallianz unchanged, NetLinkTr -1.5, Spackman
+0.3, HPHTrust unchanged.
STI opened slightly down but turned positive quickly. It closed for lunch
staying barely positive. After lunch it slid to negative only to turn back
up after mid afternoon to stay slightly positive. It closed the session
managing a gain of 12 points, near day high.
Blue chips were firmer but the general market was down.
