European bourses were up on Friday. Dow closed +55 at 24271. Trend of Dow
is turning up. European bourses opened down.
Asian bourses closed mostly sharply down. Nikkei -511, ShanghaiC -72,
Hangseng closed. STI closed -31 at 3238. Volume was 780m shares. Gainers
were 110 to 248 losers.
Trend of STI is still looking down.
Top volumes were Ezion -0.6, NicoSteel unchanged, ThaiBev -2, CWXGlobal
-0.1, Genting -1, APAC unchanged, SingTel -3, Noble +0.5, CapitaComTrust
-3, YZJ -2.
STI opened up but started to turn negative by mid morning. It then closed
at morning low for lunch. After lunch it continued to fall through the
afternoon session and closed near its day low at -31.
Blue chips were mostly in the red. The general market was also down in a
very quiet market with traded volume well below 1b shares.
