Daily Summary 9 May 14

Europe and Dow were up last night.  Dow closed +32 at 16551.  Dow's trend is trying to break up.  Dow's future is now -24. Europe opened down.

Asian bourses were mixed.  Nikkei +36, ShanghaiC -4, Hangseng +26.  STI closed +4 at 3252.  Volume was 1.9b shares.  Gainers were 154 to 258 losers.

Trend of STI is still down.

Top volumes were Hankore -2, Charisma unchanged, Memstar -0.2, ICP 0.014(consolidated price), Wilmare -13, Noble unchanged, Teledata unchanged, GoldenAgri -0.5, APAC -0.1, SIIC -1.

Market opened slightly down but managed to close slightly positive. Volume was slightly better but below 2b shares.  Blue chips were mixed. Penny and speculatives were weaker.

Europe and Dow are looking to close down for the weekend.
