European bourses were marginally up
last night. Dow closed flat with +1 at 17615. Dow's trend is up but
flattening. Dow's future is now -40. Europe opened down.
Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei
+73, ShanghaiC +25, Hangseng +130. STI closed -14 at 3278. Volume
was 1.2b shares. Gainers were 203 to 205 losers.
Trend of STI is starting to turn down.
Top volumes were Genting -2.5, IHC unchanged,
Adventus unchanged, LionGold +0.2, Charisma unchanged, Globallogistic -4,
Vallianz -0.4, Elektromotive unchanged, Noble unchanged, SingTel +3.
Market opened flat, stayed positive
for the most part of morning but turned negative by noon. It closed at
day low. More blue chips were in the red than green. Penny and speculatives
were mixed.
Dow and Europe are showing weakness
now and likely to close in the red tonight.
