European bourses were up last night.
Dow opened strongly up by nearly 300 pts but closed -27. Dow's trend
is dipping down. Dow's future is now -70. Europe opened down.
Asian bourses were mostly down. Nikkei
-292, ShanghaiC -12, Hangseng -103. STI closed -11 at 3330. Volume
was 1.3b shares. Gainers were 157 against 285 losers.
Trend of STI also slipping down.
Top volumes were IHC unchanged, GoldenAgri
unchanged, Memstar unchanged, Noble -1.5, APAC -0.1, ThaiBev +1, Vallianz
-0.2, SingTel +3, Blumont -0.1, ResourcesPrima -1.5.
Market opened flat and stayed firm for
the most part of the morning. It then slipped down to stay flat but fell
further in late afternoon. It closed near day low. Blue chips
were mixed. Penny and speculatives were weaker.
Europe and Dow are looking weak for
tonight.
