Daily summary 29 Jan 15

European bourses were mixed last night. Dow closed -196 at 17191.  Dow's short term trend is down.  Dow's future is now +27. European bourses opened down.  

Asian bourses were mostly down.  Nikkei -190, ShanghaiC -42, Hangseng -266.  STI closed -4 at 3415.  Volume was 1.4b shares.  Gainers were 228 to 268 losers.

Trend of STI is up but levelling.

Top volumes were Oceanus +0.2, IHC unchanged, Tigerair +2, Equation unchanged, ResourcesPrima -2.4, Genting +1.5, PacificAndes unchanged, GoldenAgri -0.5, Midas +1, Memstar +0.1.

Market opened down but turned positive by noon. It stayed slightly positive for the rest of the afternoon and turned slightly down in the last hour of trading.  Blue chips were mostly down.  Penny and speculatives were also generally weaker.

Europe opened down while Dow's future is positive at the moment.
