Europe were generally slightly up. FTSE
was flat. Dow closed -82 to close 18133 on Friday. Dow's trend
is starting to turn down. Dow's future is now +36. Europe opened
mixed.
Asian bourses closed mixed and relatively
flat. Nikkei +29, ShanghaiC +26, Hangseng +64. STI closed -4
at 3399. Volume was 1.5b shares. Gainers were 153 to 340 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were Xpress -0.1, MDR unchanged,
Noble -3, GoldenAgri -0.5, IHC unchanged, Genting -1, SingTel +2, SIIC
-0.1, Ezion -3.5, ThaiBev +1.5.
STI opened up but slipped to negative
quickly. it stayed negative for the most part of the session but within
a small range. Blue chips were generally weaker. Penny and speculatives
too were seeing more reds.
Europe opened mixed. Dow's future
at the moment is slightly up.
