Europe and Dow were up last night. Dow was +293 at 16351. Trend of Dow is still down. Dow's future is now +72. European bourses opened firmly up.
Asian bourses were mostly up. Nikkei +87. Shanghai and Hongkong closed for holiday. STI closed +29 at 2907. Volume was 1.1b shares. Gainers were 248 to 145 losers.
Trend of STI is down but trying to break up.
Top volumes were Medtecs +1.7, IHC unchanged, Ezra unchanged, Stratech +0.2, ChineseGlobal unchanged, ChinaFishery +0.5, Mercator -0.2, Foreland +0.1, MDR +0.1, EMS +0.1.
STI opened flat and were very quiet in the morning given HongKong and China closed for holiday. It started to move up in mid morning and stayed positive for the rest of the session, gaining a few more points in late trading to close at day high. Blue chips were mostly green. General market saw more gainers than losers. Volume was low barely passed the 1b mark.
European bourses and Dow's future are up at the moment and looking to close positive tonight.
