Europe and Dow were sharply down last night. Dow closed -250 at 15767. Trend of Dow is down. Dow's future is now -87. European bourses opened slightly up.
Asian bourses were sold down again. Nikkei -399, ShanghaiC -96, Hangseng -344. STI closed -30 at 2530. Volume was 1.3b shares. Gainers were 150 to 287 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were Ezra -0.2, MMP -0.2, Noble +0.5, Annica unchanged, Chinasports +0.1, GoldenAgri unchanged, Capitaland -2, SingTel -2, RexIntl -0.1, GlobalLogistic -6.
STI rebounded on opening despite the sharp falls in Europe and Dow last night. It started to drift down within minutes and by noon it was already negative. it continued to fall with regional bourses and closed at day low, from a day high of 2601 to a day low at 2529. The early gains by blue chips turned to losses by end of the day. The general market also fell.
European bourses are still a bit positive at the moment but Dow's future is down.
