Europe and Dow were sharply down last night. Dow closed -392 at 16514. Trend of Dow is down. Dow's future at this moment is +198. European bourses opened up.
Asian bourses were mostly positive with ShanghaiC regaining a little of its losses yesterday. Nikkei +17, ShanghaiC +62, Hangseng +120. STI closed +24 at 2753. Volume was 1.6b shares. Gainers were 243 to 148 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were Noble -0.5, Stratech +0.2, Chinasports +0.4, LuzhouBioChem +1.1, Genting +1, Blumont -0.1, SingTel +9, Elektromotive unchanged, LionGold unchanged.
With Europe and Dow's sharp fall last night STI opened down. It turned positive after an hour when China and other regional bourses opened up. STI stayed up for the rest of the session and closed near day high, +22 points. Blue chips were mostly green, crawling back a bit of their losses. The general market was also slightly firmer.
Europe and Dow's future are positive at the moment and looking to close up tonight.
