Asian bourses were mostly down. Shanghai recovered and closed +75. Nikkei -30 Hangseng -208. STI closed -32 at 2803. Volume was 1.3b shares. Gainers were 143 and losers 268.

Top volumes were Forise unchanged, Xpress unchanged, Luzhou -0.3, ChinaSports +0.2, Noble -1.5, Spackman +0.8, SingPost -10, GlobalLogistic -3, SingTel -5.
STI opened flat and turned slightly positive for an hour before falling to negative and stayed negative for the rest of the session. It closed at day low. Blue chips were mostly in the red. The general market was down with loser gainer ratio 2:1.
