European bourses and Dow were down sharply last night. Dow -1033 at 23860.

bourses opened down.
Asian bourses closed mostly down. Nikkei -496, ShanghaiC -131, Hangseng
-944. STI closed -38 at 3378. Volume was 2.5b shares. Gainers were 82
against 401 losers.

Top volumes were HPHTrust -3, Jiutian -0.3, CWXGlobal unchanged, AlliedTech
-0.3, MarcoPoloMarine -0.2, Genting -4, DISA -0.1, Singtel -2, Vashion

STI gapped down on opening, losing about 60 points. It crawled back slowly
through the day to close near day high at -38. Blue chips were mostly down
with barely a few gainers. The general market was a sea of reds.
European bourses are turning positive at this moment, recovering from
earlier losses. Dow's future is firming up.
