European bourses closed down last night. Dow was down 500 points but
recovered to close +34 at 24423. Trend of Dow is down. European bourses
opened up.
Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei -67, ShanghaiC +10, Hangseng +20. STI
closed -14 at 3058. Volume was 1b shares. Gainers were 148 to 204 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were Ezion -0.4, ChinaStarFood -1.4, Genting -1, CromwellReit
+0.5, SingTel -1, ThomsonMed -0.2, RexIntl -0.3, GoldenAgri +0.5, ThaiBev
-1, YZJ -1.
STI opend down but turned marginally positive briefly after an hour of
trading only to fall back to negative to close for lunch. After lunch it
stayed at the same level for most of the afternoon and closed at -14 at
3058.
Blue chips were mostly in the red. The general market was also down.
