European bourses closed mixed last night. Dow was +181 at 25721. Trend of
Dow has broken up. European bourses opened up.
Asian bourses closed mostly up. Nikkei +111, ShanghaiC -34, Hangseng +70.
STI closed +16 at 3162. Volume was 504m shares. Gainers were 149 to 95
losers.
Trend of STI has also broken up.
Top volumes were Genting unchanged, Chasen +0.8, Blumont unchanged, YZJ
unchanged, Spackman unchanged, RexIntl unchanged, TEE +0.4, SingTel +3,
GInvacom +0.6, Oxley unchanged.
STI opened marginally down but turned up after half an hour. It reached day
high at 3165 by mid morning before closing at 3158. After lunch it moved
down for a short while before moving back up slightly and stayed at around
3160 level for the last hour of trading, closing at 3162.
Blue chips were mostly higher. The general market was also slightly
firmer.
