Europe were mixed last night. Dow gained
205 pts to close at 15374. Dow's trend is up. Dow's future is now
-107. Europe opened down.
Asian bourses were mixed after an early
rally. Nikkei +119, ShanghaiC -5, Hangseng -133. STI closed +13 at
3187. Volume was 2.b shares. Gainers were 291 to 193 losers.
Trend of STI is flat.
Top volumes were YHM +0.3, SingHaiyi
-0.1, AdvSct -0.1, Innopac -0.3, HanKore +0.2, Sunmoon -0.1m, Jubilee -2.1,
Albedo -0.2, Chasen +1.8, AsiaPhos -2.
Market opened up and tried to rally
in the morning. It lost steam in late afternoon when Hangseng fell with
a weak opening in Europe. It closed at day low but still +13. Blue
chips were mostly up but penny and speculatives were mixed.
Though there was some agreement on the
debt ceiling and Obama had signed the papers, there is still Congress to
pass the deal. There are some negativities at the moment as if Congress
could still vote it down which would be disastrous.
Europe opened negative while Dow's future
is looking quite weak.
