Dow and Europe were weaker last night.
Dow -136 closing at 14936. Dow's trend is still down. Dow's
future is now -21. Europe opened down.
Asian bourses were mostly up. Nikkei
+41, ShanghaiC +24, Hangseng +205. STI closed +10 at 3147. Volume
was 3.8b shares. Gainers were 329 to 207 losers.
Trend of STI is down but seeing a first
break.
Top volumes were Albedo +1.2, YHM +0.7,
Ipco +0.1, Innopac +0.5, Hankore +0.5, AsiaPhos -6, SingHaiyi unchanged,
Asiasons -3.4, AdvSCT unchanged, LionGold -6.
Market was down on opening but recovered
to close +10. There were more bargain hunters coming in given the
sharp falls yesterday. Blumont was up in the morning with news of an ex
Citibanker buying in and joining its management. It felt back to close
flat probably due to force selling. LionGold and Asiasons continue to lose
ground, losing 6c and 3c respectively.
Blue chips were firmer. There were some
play coming back for penny and speculative stocks.
Europe and Dow are looking slightly
weaker at the moment.
