Europe and Dow were slightly down last night. Dow's trend is still turning up. Dow's future at the moment is -55. European bourses opened firmly down.
Asian bourses were mostly down. Nikkei -595, ShanghaiC +5, Hangseng -278. STI closed -22 at 2819. Volume was 1.8b shares. Gainers were 179 to 259 losers.
Trend of STI is drifting back down.
Top volumes were Annica unchanged, Ezra -0.5, Spackman -0.7, Noble -1, IPCO -0.1, GoldenAgri +1, MFS +0.3, OKH unchanged, RexIntl unchanged, Yuuzoo unchanged.
STI opened down and stayed down for the whole session. It slipped down further in late after but some last minute short covering kept it off its day low. Blue chips were mostly down with banks feeling the selling pressure after Moody's downgrade. The general market was slightly weaker as well.
Europe and Dow's future are down at the movement and looks like Dow will be down tonight.
