Europe closed relative flat and mixed last night. Dow was -211 closing at 17831. Trend of Dow is turning down. Dow's future at the moment is flat. Europe opened sharply down.
Asian bourses were mostly down, some sharply. Nikkei and ShanghaiC closed. Hangseng -321. STI closed -25 at 2837. Volume was 1.2b shares. Gainers were 190 to 259 losers.
STI's trend is down.
Top volumes were Cedar +0.1, ThaiBev -1.5, RexIntl -0.7, AllianceMineral +0.3, Noble +0.5, HPHTrust -0.5, Genting -1.5, Spackman -0.1, Ezra unchanged, Indiabulls -1.
STI opened slightly down and slipped further down through the day. More weaknesses in late afternoon following Europe and sTI closed near day low. Blue chips were mostly in the red. The general market was weaker.
Europe is still down while Dow's future is starting to turn negative.
