European bourses and Dow were down last night after a week of gains. Dow
closed -181 at 26562. Trend of Dow is still up. European bourses opened
up.
Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei +37, ShanghaiC -16, Hangseng -454. STI
closed +17 at 3236. Volume was 1.1b shares. Gainers were 192 to 138
losers.
Trend of STI is up.
Top volumes were NicoSteel +0.2, Ezion +0.3, MarcoPoloMarine +0.2, RexIntl
+0.1, KrisEnergy +0.4, FalconEnergy +0.2, AlliedTech unchanged, Vallianz
+0.1, AusGroup +0.1, ThaiBev -1.
STI opened up and inched up marginally to close for lunch positive. After
lunch it moved a bit higher to a day high of 3243 only to slide back a
little closing at +17.
Blue chips were mostly positive. The general market was firmer.
