European bourses closed up last night but Dow closed -53 at 25053. Trend
of Dow is slipping down slightly. European bourses opened up.
Asian bourses closed mostly up. Nikkei +531, ShanghaiC +18, Hangseng +27.
STI closed -5 at 3201. Volume was 1.1b shares. Gainers were 169 to 198
losers.
Trend of STI is sideways but with a slightly positive bias.
Top volumes were RexIntl +0.4, Ezion +0.2, ThomsonMed +0.3, ThaiBev +1,
ChinaRealEstate +0.1, Genting +1, AusGroup +0.1, KrisEnergy +0.2, GSSEnergy
+0.4, YZJ unchanged.
STI opened marginally down but turned slightly only to fall back to
negative before recovering to close flat. After lunch it slipped down
slightly but closed marginally down at -5.
Blue chips were mostly down. The general market was also weaker.
