Daily Summary 17 Sep 14

Europe were slightly down last night. Dow was +101 at 17132.  Dow's short term falling trend is reversing. Dow's future is flat at the moment. Europe opened up.

Asian bourses were mostly up.  Nikkei -23, ShanghaiC +11, Hangseng +240.  STI closed +24 at 3297.  Volume was 1.7b shares.  Gainers were 295 to 159 losers.

STI's short term down trend is held back with today's gain.

Top volumes were SingaporeeDev -0.1, IHC unchanged, ThaiBev -0.5, APAC unchanged, Xpress unchanged, MetalComponent +0.8, GoldenAgri +0.5, Genting 2.5, Edition unchanged, Digiland unchanged.

Market opened positive and gained more strength through the session. It closed near day high. Blue chips were mostly green reversing yesterday's losses. Penny and speculatives were also firmer.

Europe are firmer at the moment. Dow's future is flat. The fear of interest rate hike seems to have subsided with last night's gain.
