Daily Summary 5 Sep 14

Europe were up last night. Dow was up most of the session but down slightly in the last hour to close -8 at 17070.  Dow's short term trend is flat.  Dow's future is now -28.  Europe opened up.

Asian bourses were mixed and closed relatively flat.  Nikkei -8, ShanghaiC +20, Hangseng -58. STI closed -7 at 3339.  Volume was 1.5b shares.  Gainers were 191 to 241 losers.

Short term trend of STI is slightly up.

Top volumes were APAC -0.1, Digiland +0.1, IHC +0.5, GRP -0.2, ThaiBev +3, Mirach -0.2, GoldenAgri -0.5, Charisma -0.1, SingaporeeDev unchanged, TopGlobal unchanged.

Market opened positive but slipped down within half an hour to negative. It stayed negative for the rest of the session but closed off its low. Volume was a miserable 1.5b shares.  Blue chips were generally weaker.  Penny and speculatives were also slightly weaker for the weekend.

Europe are looking steady at the moment while Dow's future is slightly down.
