Dow closed -31 at 17068 last night.
Europe were relatively flat. Dow's uptrend is weakening. Dow's
future is now +87. Europe opened strongly up.
Asian bourses were mostly up with Hangseng
+569. Nikkei +60, ShanghaiC +23. STI closed +17 at 3345. Volume
was 1.7b shares. Gainers were 236 to 217 losers.
Short term trend of STI is reversing
back up.
Top volumes were AdvanceSCT unchanged,
IHC unchanged, Mirach -0.1, Artivision +0.1, SIIC +0.5, Charisma +0.2,
Sincap -0.4, Genting -1.5, APAC unchanged.
Market opened slightly up but slipped
back down to negative territory for a while before regaining strength.
STI stayed positive for the whole afternoon and closed near day high following
strength in Hangseng and Europe. Volume was still low. Blue chips were
firm with many greens. Penny and speculatives were slightly firmer.
Europe and Dow are looking strong for
tonight.
