Dow and Europe were all down last night.
Dow -107 at 17173. Dow's uptrend is turning down after 5 days of
gains. Dow's future is now -34. Europe opened down.
Asian bourses were mostly down. Nikkei
-115, ShanghaiC +20, Hangseng -118. STI closed +2 at 3298. Volume
was a low of 1.5b shares. Gainers were 203 to 250 losers.
Short term trend of STI is still looking
down.
Top volumes were APAC unchanged, GentingHK
+1, IHC unchanged, SingaporeeDev unchanged, SinjiaLand -3, Vallianz +0.3,
Genting +4, LionGold -0.3, LH +0.2, Digiland unchanged.
Market opened slightly negative but
quickly recovered to stay positive for the rest of the session. It closed
off its high with some weakness following Europe's weak opening. This
could be due to news of the US launching attacks against the IS inside
Syria.
Blue chips were slightly firmer. Penny
and speculatives were slightly weaker.
Europe are down at the moment and Dow's
future is also down. There could be fear of a retaliation by IS fighters
in the US. With European countries staying out of the war and harm's way,
the US is going to be a prime target for the IS.
