European bourses were up last night but Dow was closed. Dow's future has
been down this afternoon. European bourses opened down.
Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei +5, ShanghaiC +6, Hangseng -99. STI
closed +6 at 3089. Volume was 428m shares. Gainers were 135 to 159
losers.
Trend of STI is moving sideways.
Top volumes were RexIntl -0.1, NetLink -0.5, YZJ +0.5, AA unchanged,
Mercurius +0.3, SingTel +1, Genting unchanged, HPHTr +2, SembcorpInd +6,
MapletreeComTr unchanged.
STI opened slightly down but turned up quickly and was positive after half
an hour of trading. It was at day high by 10am at 3094. It pulled back
slightly and closed for lunch at 3092. After lunch it weakened slightly
and only dropped briefly to negative in mid afternoon but managed to pull
back and closed marginally up at 3089.
Blue chips were firmer but the general market was weaker.
