European bourses closed flat and mixed last night. Dow closed +112 at
25300. Trend of Dow is looking down a bit. European bourses opened up.
Asian bourses closed mostly down. Nikkei -148, ShanghaiC -57, Hangseng
-429. STI closed -14 at 3229. Volume was 1.4b shares. Gainers were 174
to 218 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were ThaiBev -2, Ezion -0.1, AEM +5, Genting -2, DISA +0.1,
Jiutian -0.2, YZJ -2, SingTel +3, GoldenAgri unchanged, CapitaMallTrust +2.
STI opened flat but fell and hit day low by mid morning at 3218. It
recovered some ground to close marginally down for lunch. After lunch it
stayed at this level for most part of the afternoon only to slip a bit more
in the last hour of trading to close -14 at 3229.
Blue chips were slightly weaker. The general market was down.
