Daily Summary 14 Oct 14
Europe were mixed last night but Dow continued to fall, -223 at 16321. Dow's trend is down. Dow's future is now +36. Europe opened slightly down.
Asian bourses were generally weaker. Nikkei -384, ShanghaiC -9, Hangseng -95. STI closed -3 at 3199. Volume was 1.5b shares. Gainers were 169 to 295 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were OLS +0.1, APAC -0.1, IHC unchanged, HPHTrust unchanged, Mirach -0.6, Noble -0.5, Valuetronics -6, ThaiBev -0.5, IPCO unchanged, GoldenAgri +0.5.
Market opened down but turned positive in late morning when Hangseng was up. It turned down again following Hangseng's weakness in the afternoon. Blue chips were mostly down with banks taking the brunt of the fall. Penny and speculatives were also generally weaker.
European bourses are a bit weak at this moment. Dow's future is positive and pull up for a bit of technical rebound tonight given the falls over the last three days.
