Sharp falls in Dow and Europe last night.
Dow -238 closing at 16805. Dow's trend is down and looking bad. Dow's
future is now -33. Europe opened down.
Asian bourses were mostly down. Nikkei
-420, Shanghai and Hongkong still closed for holiday. STI closed
-36 at 3229. Volume was 1.7b shares. Gainers were 149 to 281
losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were TopGlobal +0.1, IHC
unchanged, APAC -0.1, MetalComponent +1.1, JES -0.5, Sitra +0.5, Noble
-0.5, CompactMetal +0.3, Sincap +0.1, Genting -2.
Market opened down and slided down through
the session to close at day low. Blue chips were mostly down. Penny stocks
and speculatives too were mostly down. The closure of Hongkong and the
uncertainties were not helpful to the market.
Europe is pretty weak at the moment
while Dow's future is slightly down.
