Europe were marginally up yesterday while Dow closed -18 at 16992. Dow's
short term trend is turning up. Dow's future is -54 at this moment. Europe
opened down.
Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei -107, ShanghaiC +6, Hangseng +107. STI
closed -6 at 3247. Volume was 1.6b shares. Gainers were 162 to 267 losers.
Trend of STI is slipping down.
Top volumes were CompactMetal +0.2, Xpress +0.1, APAC unchanged, IHC -0.5,
GRP +0.3, Sincap -0.7, Noble unchanged, Memstar -0.1, Genting -1, HPHTrust
unchanged.
Market opened slightly up but turned negative after half an hour of
trading. It then stayed negative at the same level for the rest of the
session. There were more losers than gainers among blue chips. Penny and
speculatives were also weaker.
Europe are looking pretty weak at the moment. Dow's future is also down.
