Europe fell sharply last night. Dow was also down but recovered from its low to close +4 at 16801.  Dow's trend is down.  Dow's future at the moment is +67.  Europe opened mixed but Dax is down nearly 200 pts.

Asian bourses mostly closed positve. Hangseng rebounded after opening down to close +132.  ShanghaiC +6 and Nikkei +47.  STI closed +26 at 3255.  Volume was a low 1.4b shares.  Gainers were 254 to 185 losers.

Trend of STI is down.

Top volumes were IHC unchanged, Genting +1.5, APAC +0.1, Jaya +0.3, Blumont +0.1, Sitra unchanged, Noble +2.5, Sincap _0.3, Digiland unchanged, Armarda unchanged.

Market opened down but recovered to stay slightly positive in late morning. After lunch it continued to climb higher to close at day high following a rebound in Hangseng.  Blue chips were mostly up. Penny and speculatives were also slightly better.

Europe are mixed at the moment while Dow's future is up at the moment.
