European bourses and Dow were sharply down last night. Dow -396 closing at
25017. Short term trend of Dow is going down. European bourses opened
down.
Asian bourses closed mostly down. Nikkei -229, ShanghaiC -58, Hangseng
-532. STI closed -38 at 3027. Volume was 1.4b shares. Gainers were 106
to 246 losers.
Trend of STI is slipping down.
Top volumes were Genting -2, RichCapital -0.1, Ezion -0.1, RexIntl -0.4,
YZJ -4, BestWorld -13,SingTel -1, AA +0.1, GoldenAgri unchanged, ThomsonMed
-0.1.
STI opened down, moved up a bit but unable to turn positive. It fell to a
day low at 3024 before closing for lunch. After lunch it stayed at the same
level before closing for lunch and inched up a little to close off the day
low at 3027, -38.
Blue chips were mostly in the red. The general market was down with gainer
loser ration at 1:2.
